For those who prefer to meet in the flesh, we have launched our micro and mini adventure and an in-person version of Active Accountability.

 

Introducing your host - ‘Fran the Van’!

Our in-person Outdoor Co-Working and AdVANtures will be held in my very own Fran the Van.

The host of many wonderful adventures, Fran is a bright, comfortable, and cosy space for building relationships with fellow Club members – with caffeine provided to inspire deep thinking!

 

Outdoor (well almost) Co-Working

Dates: Every Wednesday

Location: Fran the Van, Colzium and Lennox Estate, North Lanarkshire

Time: 11am – 1.30pm (2.5 hours)

Number of spaces: 3


Combine the brain-boosting benefits of exercise and the power of group accountability to brainstorm new ideas, solve problems, and come up with an action plan in an intimate and supportive setting.

As we’re meeting face-to-face, the session provides a complete digital detox; creating a no-distraction environment to help you shorten that pesky ‘To-Do’ list.

How It Works

Challenge – Introduce yourself and the challenge or task you would like to work through.

Stroll – We embark on a 40-minute group walk, suitable for all ability levels. This kick-starts the conversation, gets your heart pumping, and clears your mind for a fabulous work session!

Accomplish – Each person gets around 20 minutes to discuss their challenge, and the rest of the group will chip in to provide solutions and creative ideas to help you get it off your (metaphorical) desk.

Pen and paper only here – your phones will be put away in a safe location to keep you completely focused!

Reflect – We wrap up with some quiet contemplation, allowing you to scribble down your actions and walk away with a plan to move forward.

121 Micro and Mini AdVANtures!

A day out in nature...designed for you and your business!

When you’re so busy working IN your business, it can be hard to find time to work ON your business.

These sessions have been designed to help you break free from your desk and enjoy a short digital detox and AdVANture.

Choose from a 2.5 hour or 4 hour adventure.

Combining accountability and exercise, this 1 to 1 adventure pairs an outdoor activity (walking, hiking, trail running, cycling) with time to think and plan without digital distractions. With the fabulous Fran the Van providing shelter!

How It Works

Meet Fran the Van – Fran & Kelly will meet you at an agreed location, perfect for the adVANture of your choice.

Move – We will walk, run, cycle (perhaps even open water dip or swim). Your choice of activity but designed to be challenging, we will stimulate your creativity and prime you for a focused session of great work.

Coffee! – We’ll head to a local café or pop the kettle on in Fran the Van to keep the caffeine levels up!

Focus –Then we’ll settle in to complete a work sprint addressing the topic agreed pre-session. Laptops are allowed, but we recommend taking a technology break and using pen and paper if you can.

By the end of the day, you will have...

  • A sense of achievement, having completed an exhilarating activity

  • Completed a chunky piece of work and planned your next steps

The Club is a group of like-minded people where there is openness and genuine support at, and between, the sessions – the walks are enjoyably tough too.
Allows me to join a great walk, where I get a decent workout. It’s about getting time in the calendar to do some deep work PLUS and that plus is exercise which gets the brain stimulated to help resolve a problem or situation.
A safe space where it’s ok to be you. You get new thoughts and ideas from non-judgemental peers following a walk that lifts your body and mind.
